Building a Website

Importance of the project

This project was made for the sole purpose of tracking cats on UH Manoa's Campus. The project's contributors consisted of four people: myself, Mei Luu, Micah Imakyure, Nathan Corpuz. The project of mine is a web application called "Neko Map", neko meaning cat in japanese. The app is a friendly, cooperative, Javascript UI web app made to aid those everlasting questions of have you ever wanted to take care of stray cats? or did you ever worry about then?

Features

It’s features are as follows:

• View registered cats without an authenticated account
• Account registration
• Create & Edit your user profile
• Add, View, & Edit all your cats
• Volunteer to feed a cat of your choosing

Final Comments

To sum up… This project was very worthwhile to complete, as it has taught me the basics to developing websites. Along with that, I learned how to utilize UI web design with the semantic UI react, I also was able to learn how to deploy websites to Digital Ocean, and overall the experience of collaborating with a group allowed me to get a feel of how it would be like with an actual team. Finally, I hope that this application does give whoever is reading this the answer to your question and hopefully the motivation to create your own website.
